Wayne Sodowsky

Wayne Sodowsky spent 20 years as a part time farrier before switching to full time in 2021. Much of his experience was initially gained caring for his family's horses and those of fellow boarders at facilities ranging from the Mojave Desert to the Great Plains to the Appalachian Mountains.

After retiring as an Engineer from the United States Army in 2015, Wayne found mentorship opportunities with several talented farriers in Western Pennsylvania along with attending continuing education events regionally to improve his skill set. Much of Wayne's current practice is Warmbloods, Thoroughbreds and Standardbreds training in Dressage and Hunter/Jumper with a mix of other disciplines and trail horses to round out the book. He also collaborates with several local veterinary practices and is expanding his therapeutic repertoire.
